Review: Rat Glue Debut

"Rat Glue Debut", starring Ava Sapphire, is the latest (as of this writing) release from Red Rebel Studios, a U.K based operation that specializes in various sticky productions. I'll probably share my thoughts on some of their other work in the future, but since this is the first time Red Rebel has used glue (hence the title), this one stood out to me, and it didn't disappoint.

There's no story to this one: Ava simply rolls up her jeans, giggles nervously, makes a few remarks, and steps right into a deep metal pan of viscous, brown, semi-transparent Catchmaster glue. She alternates between wiggling her toes playfully and testing the limits of the glue by pulling her feet upward. The glue is pliant but unforgiving, stretching 5-6 inches but refusing to break as Ava grunts and gasps enticingly and expresses her surprise at the tensile strength of her gooey trap. I was left with the impression that she might not have been able to get out without some help, which is a testament to the power of the glue, Ava's acting skill, or some combination of the two.

The overall tone of the scene is lighthearted; there are no damsels in distress here. It feels like we're just spectators in the room watching as this couple tests out their sticky new purchase for the first time. And what a purchase it is! I'm not sure if Catchmaster has changed its glue formula or if Red Rebel has figured out the optimal way to prepare it, but manages to seem both elastic and durable at the same time; stretching to almost cartoonish lengths while still holding its captive firmly in place.

All that said, fans who like a story and/or progression in their scenes may want to look elsewhere.

It's also worth noting that the camera is fixed firmly on Ava's feet for the duration of the scene, although you do get a split-screen with two different angles at a few points. As with all of Red Rebel's productions, the image quality is the best you'll find.

I bought the full version, which runs for about 32 minutes. The first half of is glue play, while the second half is dedicated to cleanup, a lengthy procedure that involves a lot of oil (and a fun shot of Ava crawling to the bathroom to finish the job). Some may enjoy all of that, but there's a less expensive "glue-only" version for the glue purists.

"Rat Glue Debut"can be purchased at Red Rebel Studios for $25.99 for the full version or $19.99 for the glue-only version. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
